CRUNCHY TOMATOES IS An INNOVATIVE FILM PRODUCTION COMPANY FORMED IN 2018. 

Crunchy Tomatoes was originally founded by Louis Taylor-Baggs, Sam Blakeney-Edwards and Javed Malik in order to pursue their creative endeavours. The company is now run by Louis and Sam and they have taken it to the next level. They describe Crunchy Tomatoes’ mission as: “to tell great stories about subjects that need wider discussion in a cinematic format”. At the companies heart there is a network of like minded and talented filmmakers within all specialities. 

Our current focus is on music videos, short films and commercials.

LOUIS TAYLOR-BAGGS

PRODUCER & FOUNDER

Louis has spent many years working for the worlds largest content creators on different projects. These include Sky, Netflix, Working Title, Disney and Warner Bros. This has given him a huge insight into how some of the worlds largest films are made. Another valuable resource from this experience is the vast contact book that is regularly opened. Louis manages projects from green light to premiere, implementing incredible attention to detail and leadership skills to ensure the Crunchy Tomatoes’ crew are allowed to create the best products and films possible. Louis also takes great pride in curating the behind the scenes and promotional content for the Crunchy Tomatoes projects. He says, “This is one of the most enjoyable parts of the process for me, I love being able to give the people that are interested a behind the curtain look at our projects'“. Louis has been awarded Best Producer by the Hollywood Blood Horror Festival and films produced by Louis have been selected for film festivals including Short to the Point, Santiago Independent Film Awards, Hollywood Blood Horror Festival, Back in the Box, Golden Movie Awards and premiered on Film Shortage and Shorts TV. All of this has led to the creation of an incredible team and network at Crunchy Tomatoes.

SAM BLAKENEY-EDWARDS

DIRECTOR & FOUNDER

Sam made his first film aged 10 telling the story of a haunted halloween mask and its string of victims. Since then he has never stopped making films. The ambition and scope has increased steadily with each project and the network of people around him has widened and diversified. Sam has experience in many departments. He has worked his way up from serving tea in the competitive world of Soho post production, to cutting trailers for film and TV, to working in the editorial department of several Hollywood blockbusters as well as producing numerous music videos, corporate and commercial online content. He has always wished to be a filmmaker in his own right. He brings with him a wealth of experience in telling stories across a variety of platforms. Sam understands that being a filmmaker isn’t just about what you put in front of the camera, but that its also how you manage the people behind the camera to give their very best.

Diane Pognan

Head of Social Media & Publicity

Diane completed a foundation degree in Performance Design and Practice at University of the Arts London’s Central Saint Martins college in 2016 and then followed on from this with a Film and Theatre bachelors degree from the University of Reading. Her work within Crunchy Tomatoes consists of creating and posting original, consistent and promotional content to our social media pages in order to keep our audiences engaged and up to date with our projects. She works to continuously develop our social media and marketing strategies in order to further our reach and audiences, engaging with the broader filmmaking community. In addition to this she also assists on shoots as photographer/videographer to obtain behind the scenes coverage. Diane is an excellent asset to the team and her work ensures Crunchy Tomatoes and all our productions are seen by as many people as possible.
